Qi Gong is the basis of all tai chi. It means “Energy Work”, yet it based in a very firm reality of physical sensation. In this set, and in the warm up exercises, we are trying to maximise your ROM ( range of motion) to their utmost potential, so that you are able to move your joints freely and without any hindrance brought on by localised contraction of fascia or shortened muscle tissue. Incorporating stretches, extremely powerful breathwork, and spiraling motions through whole body movement, the Hun Yuan set is a potent series of exercises that can be done anywhere by anybody, with significant long-lasting effects on the body.

This class is open to all Beginners, or to those who have some experience already.

It is recommended as something in its own right, or as a complement to, or preliminary for, tai chi or indeed any movement practice or sport. Qi Gong can enhance and supercharge any sport.

Without it, tai chi is meaningless
